The Snapshot: German Craftsmanship for Little Dreamers
Based in Germany, Mica is a family-run business dedicated to creating imaginative, safe, and PVC-free wall décor. Their fabric wall stickers are beloved for their soft, hand-painted aesthetic—offering a premium alternative to typical plastic decals. From whimsical jungle animals to celestial space themes, Mica-Mica helps parents transform plain nurseries into magical worlds.
In the interior décor space, the challenge is helping customers visualize a complete room. A single rainbow sticker is a start, but a truly "Pinterest-worthy" nursery usually requires a combination of wall decals, matching art prints, and coordinated furniture accents.
The Starting Line: Escaping the "One-Sticker" Cart
Before launching their new strategy, Mica’s Average Order Value (AOV) was $33.61. This reflected a common behavior: parents would buy one set of animals or a single art print to "test" the quality.
However, one small decal set often isn't enough to cover a full wall, leading to a "sparse" look that doesn't fully showcase the brand's potential. Mica needed a way to help parents commit to a complete room transformation while providing a price incentive that made the larger purchase feel like a smart investment.
The Solution & Execution: The "Build Your Own Scene" Experience
Mica implemented the Kefi Commerce Mix and Match Bundle to turn individual products into cohesive interior design packages.
1. Cross-Category Coordination
The brand allowed parents to mix and match across their entire catalog. A customer could choose a set of Fabric Wall Stickers, add a coordinating Fine Art Print, and finish the look with Furniture Film for an IKEA play-kit. This ensured every element of the room felt "on-theme."
2. Facilitating "Themed" Upsells
By using the Mix and Match logic, Mica made it easy for a parent interested in "Space" to see all related items (astronauts, stars, rockets) in one bundle view. This removed the friction of searching through various category pages to find matching items.
3. Quality Meets Value
Mica’s products are premium and German-made. The bundling strategy allowed them to maintain their luxury, "hand-painted" brand image while rewarding loyal customers who were decorating an entire room. It moved the conversation from "price per sticker" to "the value of a beautiful nursery."
The Outcome: $31,000+ in Bundled Growth
The 60-day results following the December 2025 installation were immediate:
- 100% AOV Growth: The average order value surged from $33.61 to $67.22. This indicates that customers were no longer just buying "one thing"—they were buying the "whole scene."
- High-Volume Efficiency: With over 3,360 orders in 60 days, the bundling strategy helped clear inventory across multiple categories simultaneously, ensuring that prints and furniture films moved just as fast as the popular wall stickers.
- Significant Revenue Contribution: Generating $31,816 specifically from bundles proved that parents preferred the "curated" path over searching for individual items.
